DMCA Policy
ETS2Cloud is deeply committed to respecting the intellectual property rights of all content creators, modders, artists, and developers. We understand the time, effort, and creativity that goes into producing original work, and we take copyright infringement seriously. This page outlines our policies and procedures in compliance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and other applicable intellectual property laws.
If you believe that any content published on ETS2Cloud infringes upon your copyrighted work, please follow the process outlined below. We will investigate all valid claims promptly and take appropriate action.
Our Content Philosophy
ETS2Cloud operates as a mod discovery and review blog. Our content primarily consists of written descriptions, screenshots, and external download links to mods created by third-party developers. We do not host mod files directly on our servers unless we have received explicit written permission from the original creator.
All mods featured on our website are credited to their respective authors. We strive to link directly to the original source — whether that is the Steam Workshop, ModLand, Sharemods, ETS2.LT, or any other official modding platform. Our intent is always to promote the work of creators, not to exploit it.
Despite our best efforts, errors can occur. If we have inadvertently published content that infringes upon your rights, we sincerely apologize and ask that you bring it to our attention using the process described below.
Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice
To submit a valid DMCA takedown notice, you must send a written request to our designated email address. Incomplete notices may not be acted upon, so please ensure your request includes all of the following information:
- Your full legal name and contact information, including your email address and, if applicable, your organization's name.
- A clear description of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed. If multiple works are involved, please list each one separately.
- The specific URL or URLs on ETS2Cloud where the infringing content is located. General statements without specific links cannot be acted upon.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use of the material described is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or applicable law.
- A statement, made under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are legally authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
Please send your completed DMCA notice to:
Email: ets2cloud@proton.me
Subject Line: DMCA Takedown Notice
What Happens After You Submit a Notice
Once we receive your DMCA takedown notice, here is what you can expect:
Step 1 — Review: We will review your notice to verify that it is complete and meets the legal requirements. Incomplete or unclear notices may be returned with a request for additional information.
Step 2 — Investigation: We will investigate the claim by reviewing the content in question and comparing it against the information you have provided.
Step 3 — Action: If we determine that the content does infringe upon your copyright, we will promptly remove or disable access to the infringing material and notify the person who submitted or shared the content.
Step 4 — Notification: We will send you a confirmation once the content has been taken down. We aim to complete this process within 48 hours of receiving a valid notice.
Counter-Notice Procedure
If your content was removed as a result of a DMCA takedown notice and you believe the removal was made in error or that you have the legal right to use the content, you may file a counter-notice.
A valid counter-notice must include:
- Your full name and contact information, including your email address.
- Identification of the content that was removed and the URL where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief that the content was removed as a result of a mistake or misidentification.
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the relevant courts and that you will accept service of process from the person who submitted the original takedown notice.
- Your electronic or physical signature.
Please send your counter-notice to:
Email: ets2cloud@proton.me
Subject Line: DMCA Counter-Notice
Upon receiving a valid counter-notice, we will review it and, if appropriate, restore the removed content within 10 to 14 business days, unless the original complainant notifies us that they have filed a legal action to restrain the activity.
Repeat Infringement Policy
ETS2Cloud maintains a strict policy regarding repeat copyright infringers. Any user, contributor, or third party who is found to have repeatedly submitted or shared infringing content will have their contributions permanently removed from our platform. We reserve the right to take further action as necessary to protect the rights of content creators.
Good Faith & Misuse Warning
Please note that submitting a false DMCA claim — knowingly misrepresenting that content is infringing — is a violation of the DMCA and may result in legal liability, including damages and attorney's fees. We encourage all parties to act in good faith and to use this process only for legitimate copyright concerns.
